PuddleSet® Anchors

The Clasp
The clasp on the PuddleSet® anchors is a Coast Lock style clasp with a 150 pound test strength. The clasp is attached to the rod with a waterproof, 200 pound test, braided line. There is a protective rubberized cap at the tip of the rod which helps prevent snagging and prevents damage to the rod tip.
The Rod
The rod is made of 1/4" fiberglass and is Hunter Green in color. The color was selected based on the lowest reflective properties possible while maintaining the ability to match the colors of natural aquatic plant life. The rod is capable of extreme flexing and is molded directly into the handle for maximum strength.
The Handle/Weight
The handle on the PuddleSet anchors was designed with three things in mind. The environment, carrying capability, and anchoring capacity. Although the core of the handle is lead, it is completely sealed to prevent environmental and human contact. The handle is long enough to allow for a firm grip when throwing decoys into place and weighs approximately 5 ounces.

Carrying Bag

The PuddleSet® carrying bag is made of coated black 430 Denier Nylon Pack Cloth, The shoulder strap is 1" nylon webbing and comes with a draw cord and cord lock. The bag holds up to 18 PuddleSet® anchors and can be transported either inside a conventional decoy bag or over-the-shoulder separately.

Short-Haul Carrier

The PuddleSet® Short-Haul carrier is made of 1/8" camo cord with a 2 hole cord lock at each end. The rubber shoulder pad gives you a better fit over your shoulder and allows the cord to slide through for the most convenient positioning of the anchors while being carried. The Short-Haul carrier provides the ultimate in convenience for transporting ready-to-set decoys over a short distance. It also allows for lightning fast cleanup when your days hunt has come to an end. Watch the video clip on the video page for a demonstration of the Short-Haul carrier in action.
